Longtime Fox Sports anchor Terry Bradshaw suggested over the weekend that President Donald Trump does not have a basic understanding of the freedoms enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
Terry Bradshaw called out the President for rejecting to be aware of the rights under which the United States was set up and to know the freedoms that make up the moral foundation of this once-great country.
“This is America. If our country stands for anything, folks, it’s freedom. People died for that freedom. I’m not sure if our President understands those rights. That every American has the right to speak out also to protest. Believe me, these athletes do love our this great country of ours. Personally, I think our President should concentrate on North Korea and healthcarerather than ripping into athletes and the NFL.”
He’s absolutely right. The denial of our right to protest against the
Dictatorship of Britain was one of the main inspiring reasons for the American revolt and one of the sentiments that birthed this nation.
For Trump to assault black NFL players over their civil protest against fatal police forces that murder black children and a justice system that exploits black bodies and devastates black communities to funnel taxpayer dollars into the pockets of the rich white men who own private prisons is the very definition of white supremacy.
